Scaevola Aemula
Commonly known as Fairy Fan Flower, Scaevola aemula is a hardy, fast growing ground cover with a compact mounding habit. This WA native produces small green leaves with an abundance of blue-mauve flowers in early spring through autumn. Occurs naturally in the Esperance plains. Ideal for revegetation projects, rockeries, mass planting, as a groundcover and in hanging baskets. Tolerates dryness. For enhanced growth and flowering we recommend using Troforte M Native Slow Release fertiliser. Scaevola aemula will grow to reach 50cm height and 80cm width.
Water: Water well and often when freshly planted. Mildly drought tolerant once established.
Sun: Full sun.
Soil: Sandy, free draining soils making it well suited to the Perth environment.We recommend using Aussie Organics Premium Soil Conditioner and Charlie Charcoal prior to planting.
