African Boxwood - Myrsine Africana
This small, slow-growing shrub is recognised for its glossy, aromatic, dark green foliage. During spring tiny cream toned flowers appear at the base of the leaves. The name Myrsine is from the Greek name for the similar-looking Myrtle. This plant is slow growing, but long-lived and definitely worth the patience to grant it a spot in your garden or landscape.
Water: Drought tolerant once established but don't hesitate to give them a good drink in the warmer months.
Sun: Full/Part sun
Soil: Moist, well draining soils.
