Grevillea New Blood
Among one of the most popular Australian native plants is the Grevillea, and with a wide range of species, you're sure to find one that will perfectly suit your gardens needs. Their willingness to flower proves why they are so popular, they come in an array of different colours.
The Grevillea New Blood shows off beautiful neon-red flowers.
Water: Remember that Grevillea's don't like wet feet so dry conditions and long periods without rain will not trouble them. Just a good water once a week when they are established will be sufficient.
Sun: All grevilleas are sun-lovers so plant in a position with full sun. They will survive in a partly shady spot but your plant may become leggy and won't develop as many flowers.
Soil: If you're planting directly into the garden, mix in some low-phosphorus fertiliser such as blood and bone, or if you're planting in a pot, make sure you use a premium quality potting mix designed specifically for growing natives.
